Myia Lane is a licensed master social worker with a profound commitment to assisting children and teens through their emotional and developmental challenges. Her journey in mental health began at Jackson State University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Psychology followed by a Master's degree, laying a solid foundation for her career in social work from Southern University New Orleans.

Specializing in working with young individuals, Myia provides invaluable support for those navigating complex emotional landscapes. She is particularly skilled in grief counseling, offering a nurturing and empathetic environment for children and teens to process and heal from loss.

Myia's expertise is further enhanced by her training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), a method specifically designed to address the psychological needs of trauma survivors. This training allows her to guide her clients compassionately through their healing processes, fostering resilience and personal growth. In addition to her TF-CBT training, Myia is also EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified. This certification underscores her dedication to employing comprehensive and effective therapeutic techniques to help her clients overcome various psychological stresses.

At the core of Myia’s practice is her understanding of the unique challenges faced by children and adolescents. She is passionate about empowering her young clients, equipping them with the skills and confidence to surmount obstacles and unlock their full potential. Myia engages clients ages 10-19.

Myia is an Associate Therapist under the supervision of Jocelyn Gavin Lane, LCSW, MPH
