Saquena Alford, LPC, NCC, CMHT

Saquena Alford is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. She is known for her strong clinical skillset, ability to build meaningful connections with clients, and commitment to helping individuals navigate life with clarity, stability, and confidence.

Saquena earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, and Education Specialist degree in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University, Meridian. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology with a focus in Clinical Psychology, further strengthening her expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and advanced clinical care.

She brings a diverse range of clinical experience across inpatient, community, and school-based settings. Saquena currently serves as a Senior Behavioral Health Specialist, providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the school system and supporting adults in the community. Her work includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing crisis intervention, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Her previous experience includes providing individual and family therapy through Youth Villages and working within an inpatient psychiatric setting at East Mississippi State Hospital. In these roles, she conducted group therapy, completed risk and safety assessments, and supported individuals with complex mental health needs.

Saquena is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and utilizes a tailored approach to meet each client's unique needs. She is experienced in administering and interpreting clinical assessments and is committed to providing thorough, ethical, and high-quality care.

She holds national certification as a National Certified Counselor and is a Certified Mental Health Therapist. Saquena is an active member of the American Counseling Association and the American Psychological Association.
